Bacary Sagna holidays with wife Ludivine in Miami after Euro 2016 heartbreak

The Manchester City defender started all seven games for France in the tournament on home soil but could not prevent defeat in the final against Portugal 

 

Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has taken a holiday in Miami with wife Ludivine following Euro 2016.
The France right-back started all seven of his country's games at the tournament on home soil but was powerless to prevent them losing 1-0 to Portugal in the final.
Swansea flop Eder's extra-time strike was enough to seal the title for Cristiano Ronaldo and co leaving Paris in a state of misery.
Sagna will head back to the Etihad to link up with his teammates and new boss Pep Guardiola for pre-season, but is first taking some time out to relax ahead of the new campaign.

Sagna's fellow Premier League based France international Hugo Lloris has spoken of his determination to bounce back with Tottenham following Euros disappointment.
Lloris and Spurs will compete in the Champions League next term after finishing third in the top flight in 2015-16.

He said: “It was a big and long season and unfortunately, without a trophy with Tottenham and France but I can be proud to take part in Tottenham's season the French national team's adventure.
"I hope it will be give me more hunger for next season.
 It's football. You always need to look forward. It's true that it's a big frustration and a disappointment but in football, you always need to be positive and keep your chin up, especially when you've done your best.

Sagna took some time to get over his Euro 2016 disappointment

“We did our best and the most important thing is what we have created during the competition, between us, inside the team and the emotions that we've shared with all of the fans.
“This is one of the good memories and I think we can build up something strong for the next few years. We have a young generation and I think the future has to be bright.”
