The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners(NARTO) and Petroleum Tanker Drivers have threatened to stop the movement of fuel within the country if the money owed them is not paid.
The warning was given after an emergency meeting of the association on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in Abuja, Daily Trust reports.
“If by seven days from today all the authorities concerned do not come back to us and do what they are expected to do we will withdraw our services meaning we will park our trucks in our garages and the trucks will not move anywhere,” NARTO President, Alhaji Kassim Bataiya said
According to NARTO, the sums involved are being owed by the government and major oil marketers.
